Geriatrics and Gerontology
The Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology provides comprehensive care for older adults, addressing common geriatric syndromes like falls, delirium, incontinence, malnutrition, and frailty. Our team manages multiple chronic conditions, offers polypharmacy counseling, conducts comprehensive geriatric assessments, as well as follow-up examinations for abnormal findings from routine elderly health check-ups. We are committed to enhance the quality of life for elderly patients by delivering personalized and holistic care tailored to their unique needs.

    There are two ways to make an appointment:
  1. Schedule on the day before consultation
    Morning session: 18:00 the day before to 10:30 on the day of appointment.
    Afternoon session: 18:00 the day before to 15:00 on the day appointment.
    (Ex. For appointment on Oct. 15th, please make an appointment at 18:00 on Oct. 14th.)

  2. Schedule for within the next 14 days
    Schedule from midnight on 14 days before consultation
    (Ex. For appointment on Oct. 15th, please make an appointment at 00:00 on Oct. 1st.)

*Important Information for Medical Consultations
  1. Same-day appointment slots for morning, afternoon, and evening clinics will open for registration at 6:00 PM the day before via the website, NTUH App, and telephone voice system. We encourage you to take advantage of these options.
  2. On the day of your appointment, please arrive and check in by swiping your card at the clinic before the following times:
    Morning session: before 11:30 AM
    Afternoon session : before 4:30 PM
    Evening session : before 7:30 PM
  3. To cancel a same-day appointment, please do so by the following times:
    Morning session : before 9:30 AM
    Afternoon session : before 2:00 PM
    Evening session : before 7:00 PM
  4. First-time patients who have never visited our hospital must make an online appointment using their National ID number, Resident Certificate number, or Passport number. On the day of the appointment, please arrive before 11:00 AM (morning session), 4:00 PM (afternoon session), or 7:00 PM (evening session) and bring two valid IDs to complete check-in at the registration counter.
*Friendly Reminder
  1. If a patient fails to show up for an appointment without cancellation twice within six months, starting from the second missed appointment, they will only be allowed to register in person at the counter for the next three months. Online, App, and telephone registration will be temporarily suspended. After attending a new consultation, the count will reset.
  2. If a message displays “Not Available ” after clicking a medical staff member’s name, you may try using the “Doctor’s All Clinic Hours” function to search for other available times.
  3. Our hospital does not offer designated doctor services. For physician leave or absence, please check the online schedule for updates.
